Ruby Creek Tavern

Great place to stop in for a bite to eat and a cold beverage. Always busy on the holiday weekends. Friendly folks, even for us young out-of-towners trying to relax on a camping trip. That's probably the best thing, since it's so rare. The Ruby Creek area will be on our list of favorite vacation spots for many years to come!Also, The little convenience store next door is convenient as well. Seem to have new owners? All I know is the fresh baked goods are back, as well as doughnuts! Good stuff all around. Though, the cookies are burnt on the bottom, so maybe skip those.

Nice place with friendly staff. Food was good - pizza, fries, jalapeño balls and burger was all tasty. Keno, touch tunes and sports on the several tv's.

This is a very small and friendly bar. We love the Friday night all you can eat fish. It's just a nice little getaway to have a quick bite to eat. The people are very friendly the service is great. They put on several events for the veterans which I think is wonderful. The gentleman and the pictures is 92 years old and served in our military and was a pilot. One of the men that was with him in their Journey while fighting for our country have wrote a book and the name of that is called Red Tail Captured, Red Tail Free. Memoirs of a Tuskegee Airman and POW. By ALEXANDER JEFFERSON ( LT. COL., USFA,RET.) WITH LEWIS H. CARLSON. This is a book I would highly recommend reading.

Their pizza is very good! Small venue with mostly locals until the Summer season. Ruby Creek runs beside the tavern/store and many people float/tube down the creek on hot summer days. Tube rentals and ice cream cones are available at the store :)

This establishment has some awesome staff! The food is awesome, and they have so many things they do throughout the year..... bike runs, 4th of July festivities, and here in August the have the yearly disabled veterans benefit, that is fun for all ages! Haven't been here yet?? Come on out August 17th for the DAV benefit! It will be well worth it, I promise! Oh yeah, and they do a food auction every 3rd Sunday of the month!! How awesome is that!?!

Great little spot for a drink with friends or to talk with locals. Delicious pizza fresh out of the oven with 7 different kinds of cheese! The kids loved it, and when the pizza was gone the bottom has a target to help them hone in on their hunting skills.

Great atmosphere. Wonderful people. A place where you can let your hair down and not be judged. If you are a veteran of ANY BRANCH this is a bar and grill where you have instant acceptance. They also have pretty damn good food and sometimes a daily special. I believe that on Thursday a steak dinner is on the menu. Be there when the owner is on scene and you will have an outstanding time. Not that you won't if he be unavailable. Also Ruby Creek supports all of are MILITARY MEN AND WOMEN, both active and retired along with those who did not make it career, (like myself) and sponsors many veteran activities. Great food! You can't beat these kinds of places in Michigan! The food is simple yet delicious, and you can't beat these low key, no fuss, middle of nowhere places in Michigan! Definitely make a trip out of your way to visit!
